Is Bluebeam Revu being discontinued?

No. Bluebeam Revu is not being discontinued; Revu 21 is sold and supported through the Basics, Core, Complete, and Max subscription plans. What is ending is Revu 20, the perpetual-license version. It reached end of support on July 31, 2026 and reaches end of life on December 31, 2026, when it loses Studio and other cloud access.

Revu 20 end of support and end of life dates

Bluebeam describes this end of life as the completion of its transition from perpetual licenses to subscription plans featuring Revu 21.

DateWhat changes for Revu 20
September 30, 2023Bluebeam stopped selling Revu 20 licenses.
July 31, 2026End of support: no technical support or self-service license management, including seat releases.
December 31, 2026End of life: Revu 20 loses Studio Sessions, Studio Projects, and API integrations, and Bluebeam no longer maintains or supports it.

Can you keep using a perpetual Revu 20 license?

Yes, if the license number starts with 1, which Bluebeam uses for perpetual licenses. Revu 20 will keep launching and running locally after December 31, 2026, but Studio and other cloud services stop working, and there are no updates or technical support. Moving the license to a different machine is no longer supported. Bluebeam says continued use after end of life is at the customer's own risk.

Open and enterprise licenses (numbers starting with 96 or 98) work differently. Depending on maintenance status and whether you already upgraded, they have been or will be deactivated on or before December 31, 2026. Revu 20 academic licenses are deactivated.

Older Bluebeam Revu versions that already reached end of life

Revu 2019 and below reached end of life on June 28, 2023, and Revu for Mac reached end of life the same day. Today's plans include Bluebeam Revu for Windows desktop and Bluebeam on web and mobile.

Bluebeam lists Basics at $260, Core at $330, and Complete at $440 per user, billed annually.
